Sharla brings almost 20 years of experience with sales leadership, strategic sales, and account management to UpTempo. As an individual contributor, she was a perennially top-ranked performer, having led some of the most significant acquisitions in the history of both Slack and ACL (now Diligent). She also led teams for both companies, coaching many outstanding sales professionals and channel partners.
Sharla loves everything related to organizational culture and is especially proud of helping build the foundational sales culture at Slack. She holds an International Business degree from the University of Victoria and is fluent in French and English, splitting time between Canada and France each year.
Simon's sales career began in the mid-1990's, and he has had the opportunity to build and lead sales organizations for four companies since then. As an individual contributor, he focused on multi-million dollar relationships for Slack and other high-growth SaaS tech pioneers. As a leader, his legacy has been in building teams from scratch for tech startups from Seed to Series A & B. Throughout his career, he has reveled in the development of sales professionals and sales leaders.
Simon loves coaching in his personal life as well, having been a mentor for the Huntsman Leadership Summit since 2007 and a coach for distance runners. A former music major, he has called the San Francisco Bay Area home for most of his life.
